Job Summary And Responsibilities

As a Manager, Laboratory Services, you will oversee daily operations and strategic development of the clinical laboratory, ensuring accurate, timely, and high-quality diagnostic testing. Every day you will manage and mentor staff, monitor test quality, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with pathologists and clinical teams to optimize workflows and integrate new technologies. To be successful, you will demonstrate strong leadership, expert technical knowledge, and strategic management skills, driving continuous quality improvement and fostering a collaborative team for essential diagnostic support.

• Responsible for overall administration of all laboratory operations and monitoring employee and departmental performance to ensure adherence to policies, procedures, timelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Remain knowledgeable on new technologies, methods, and approaches within the laboratory community.
• Stay informed on and quickly ensure compliance with changes to regulatory and state requirements.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures; develop monitoring systems to improve quality; initiate corrective action plans and monitor results; evaluate existing systems and processes; resolve quality or service concerns promptly and effectively.
• Oversee equipment, maintenance, and procurement in accordance with division, system, and regulatory standards.

• Bachelor of Science in Biological or Chemical Sciences, as defined by CLIA, upon hire.
• International Medical Laboratory Scientist, upon hire.
• Blood Banking certification, upon hire.
• Chemistry – ASCP certification, upon hire.
• Clinical Laboratory Scientist, upon hire.
• Clinical Laboratory Technologist, upon hire.
• Technologist in Molecular Biology, upon hire.
• Medical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Technologist, upon hire.
• Medical Technologist AAB, upon hire.
  
  Technologist in Microbiology, upon hire.

• Master of Science and one year of managerial experience, upon hire.
