Location:

The Plaza College Station TX. Department:
Speech Therapy - Outpatient. Shift: Monday - Thursday 7:15am - 5:30pm;
Friday 7:15am - 5:00pm with flexibility.

Preferred Experience:

  • Graduated from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program and hold an active SLP licensure or have licensure pending.
  • Minimum of 3 years of outpatient clinical experience, serving pediatrics to geriatrics.
  • Advanced certifications such as MBSS, FEES, and Vital Stim are highly desirable.

Job Summary

The Speech Language Pathologist 2 plans and provides speech language pathology services, including evaluation, treatment, and education programs for patients to restore speech, language, and swallowing abilities. The SLP 2 has additional duties or responsibilities.

Essential Functions Of

The Role
  • Evaluate, treat, and monitor patients within the speech pathology treatment plan and modify therapy programs and goals.
  • Perform thorough and concise clinical documentation in a timely manner, enter charges accurately, and understand reimbursement related to the practice setting.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, coworkers, and the medical care team; provide education to patients, families, and staff.
  • Supervise students and volunteers; clinical fellowship mentors as well as fellows follow A.S.R.H. supervision guidelines.
  • Advance clinical skills through ongoing education, literature review, and implementation of evidence-based practice.
  • Impart knowledge to develop the clinical skills of colleagues.
  • Adhere to organizational, national, and state regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain awareness of system goals and align personal goals and work activities to uphold or impact those goals.
  • Perform regularly assigned duties beyond patient care, such as staff development, student clinical coordination, quality improvement program leadership, team leadership, program leadership, or other identified needs.

  • Education:

    Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Experience:

    3 years of outpatient clinical experience.
Certification/License/Registration
  • Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS): licensure within 30 days of hire or transfer.
