Location
: BSWH THE PLAZA, College Station, TX

Shift
:
Day, Monday – Thursday 7:15 am – 5:30 pm;
Friday 7:15 am – 5:00 pm (flexible)

Responsibilities
  • Provide care to patients through evaluation, treatment planning, treatment implementation, patient education and discharge planning to maximize the patient s functional level.
  • Evaluate, treat and monitor patients; modify therapy programs and goals as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, departmental coworkers, and members of the medical care team; provide education to patients, families and staff.
  • Supervise support staff, students and volunteers as appropriate.
  • Maintain clinical documentation in a thorough and timely manner; ensure accurate entry of charges and understanding of reimbursement related to the practice setting.
  • Advance clinical skills through ongoing education, literature review and implementation of evidence‑based practice; share knowledge to develop colleagues; adhere to organizational, national, and state regulatory guidelines.
  • Align individual goals and work activities with system goals; contribute to the organizational focus and patient care excellence.
Qualifications
  • EDUCATION:

    Masters' or Bachelors degree plus 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
  • EXPERIENCE:

    Experience in outpatient orthopedics; preferred but not required
  • CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION:
    Physical Therapist (PT);
    Basic Life Support (BLS) required (BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer)
  • Preferred experience:

    Attended or currently attending an accredited PT program or have a temporary license; advanced certifications such as dry needling, CSCS, SCS, etc., are highly desired
