Position: PT (Physical Therapist)

Physical Therapy

Unit notes profiles will go directly to the unit for consideration. Copy of the driver's license is needed at time of submittal to validate legal name - Pulse must reflect the name on a government issued  - no middle initial or middle name. Candidates may not have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any facility associated with Common Spirit, including CHI and/or Dignity within the past year.

Candidates who were employed PRN through outside firms will be considered.

Special information:
Call outs are strongly discouraged and could lead to termination. May be asked to precept, as needed by the unit.

Anticipated start date ASAP. Number of patients treated per day:
Expectation is 1 completed eval per hour. PT's mostly perform evals at this site. If seeing patients for daily treatments, expectation is 10 completed treats in an 8 hr shift.

Will you accept a new grad for this position (less than 6 months of experience)? Yes, if they had a strong adult acute clinical including trauma and critical.

Meditech

Rehab Aides/OTA/PTA:
Yes. On average staff 5 PTAs and 2-3 techs

Holidays:
Yes but we alternate holidays

Scrub Color/Uniform:
Maroon scrubs

Outpatient and Inpatient? Inpatient (acute care)

Pharmacy: 24/7

Shifts:

8 - 4:30pm M-F with alternating weekends; a comp day is provided during the week for any weekend days worked

Call Requirement: none

Call Response Time: n/a

What areas are they required to cover? Primary area is acute care for Bryan hospital; possible coverage at College Station acute care hospital but would be very minimal

Floor specific orientation:
Yes; will be oriented to hospital, EMR, and all our procedures/protocols for 3-5 days depending on experience level with acute care

Common diagnosis / Types of patients:
Level III trauma center, telemetry, ortho, surgical, critical care, neuro, oncology, general medical. Mostly adults or older teens. We do not treat peds at this facility. The closest peds we get are maybe a handful of teenagers from car wrecks or crashing their scooter and such.
