The Filta Clean Technician deep cleans commercial kitchen equipment using steam, so our customers' kitchens stay safe, sanitary, and inspection-ready.

- Location: Based in Bryan, TX; travel across Bryan/College Station, Montgomery County/The Woodlands, and Northwest Houston
- Type: Full-time, hourly
Filta provides kitchen services to hospitals, universities, country clubs, resorts, corporate dining, and restaurants. Our Filta Clean service uses commercial steam equipment to remove built-up grease and carbon from ovens, ranges, flat tops, fryers, steamers, ice machines, and other back-of-house equipment. Filta Clean is not hood or exhaust cleaning.
Technicians work in crews or alone, often before opening or after close so the kitchen can keep serving. You will drive a company van, run the job from start to finish, and leave every piece of equipment visibly cleaner than you found it.
Key ResponsibilitiesEquipment cleaning
- Steam clean and degrease commercial kitchen equipment, including ovens (convection, combi, double-stack), ranges, flat tops, charbroilers, fryers, steamers, kettles, ice machines, and stainless surfaces
- Disassemble removable parts, clean them, and reassemble equipment correctly so it is ready for service
- Protect surrounding areas, control water and runoff, and leave the kitchen clean and dry
- Follow company SOPs for each equipment type, including commercial steamer cleaning and end-of-day vacuum procedures
- Use the correct chemicals for each surface and follow all labels and Safety Data Sheets
- Take before-and-after photos of every piece of equipment cleaned, following company photo standards
- Log each job in Filta Service App on the company-issued phone, including start, finish, and services performed
- Walk the kitchen with the customer contact when possible, and report damaged, broken, or unsafe equipment
- Represent Filta professionally in hospitals, schools, clubs, and other customer sites, following each site's rules
- Load, unload, operate, and maintain steam units, hoses, wands, vacuums, and hand tools
- Complete beginning-of-day and end-of-day vehicle and equipment checklists
- Drive the company van safely and follow the company safe-driving agreement, including GPS and dashcam policies
- Keep fire extinguishing equipment in the van in working order
- Wear required PPE and report any injury, incident, or near miss right away
- Support Filta Fry routes or other service lines when needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid Texas driver's license and a driving record that meets company insurance standards
- Able to pass a background check and motor vehicle record check
- Able to work early mornings, evenings, overnights, and some weekends based on customer schedules
- Reliable, on time, and able to work alone or as part of a crew
- Comfortable using a smartphone app to log jobs and take photos
- Able to read and follow written procedures and chemical safety labels
- Experience in commercial kitchens, janitorial, pressure washing, restaurant equipment, or similar hands-on work
- Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment and how it is assembled
- Serv Safe or other food safety certification, or willingness to earn one
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
This is a physical, hands-on job in working commercial kitchens.
- Lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs regularly, including steam units, hoses, and equipment parts
- Stand, bend, kneel, crouch, reach overhead, and work on the floor for long periods
- Work in hot, humid, wet, and greasy conditions, around hot surfaces and pressurized steam
- Handle cleaning chemicals safely while wearing PPE such as gloves, eye protection, and non-slip boots
- Drive a company van daily, sometimes 1 to 2 hours between job sites
- Shifts may run long when a job requires it

Schedule and Pay- Schedule: Full-time; hours vary by customer, including early mornings, nights, and some weekends
- Pay: $20 per hour, with overtime paid per Texas and federal law
- Provided: Company van, company phone, uniforms, PPE, and all cleaning equipment and supplies
- Training: Paid hands-on training on Filta procedures, equipment, and safety
