Job Description
* Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment
* Perform detailed setup on equipment including recipe changes and control adjustments
* Repair and keep mechanical machine components in top operating condition
* Perform simple to complex mechanical Preventative Maintenance Tasks following instructions
* Intermediate understanding of electrical principles such as voltage, current and resistance
* Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, field devices, sensors, photo eyes, etc.
* Intermediate understanding of electrical safety and motor control circuits and programmable drives
* Troubleshoot the inputs and outputs on PLC and repair issues
* Complete projects to add electrical circuits and controls, new equipment and relocate machines
* Maintain and repair pneumatic systems including repairs of cylinders and other components
* Perform simple to complex mechanical Preventative Maintenance Tasks following instructions
* Enter all work completed in computer-based maintenance program
* Monitor and report spare parts usage including completing parts order forms
* Adjust equipment based on Statistical Process Control data and team with QA
* Train new and Level 1 mechanics in more complex tasks and skills
Qualifications
* Associates degree in related field is desired
* Minimum 3 years' maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
* Knowledge of and experience with Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures
* Able to strictly adhere to safety policies/procedures and be committed to customer quality.
* Must be available for regular standby assignments; work scheduled off-hours and emergency overtime as required.
* Proficient in Word and Excel
* Must be willing to attend training sessions as needed, including out of state locations
* Ability to assist in Training Level I Technicians
* Intermediate knowledge of fabrication (ex. welding, basic machining)
* Possess strong work ethic and knowledge of intermediate troubleshooting
* Able to read printed materials, blueprints, schematics, and computer graphics
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work independently and within a team, including the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships employees, vendors, contractors, and suppliers
* Ability to show attention to detail in a very fast paced environment
* Flexible and willing to work overtime as required
