Machine Operator

Job Summary

Responsible for operating machines to produce cabinet components for doors, drawers, frames, and boxes. Eligible for a full‑time position located at Fountain Avenue Plant – Bryan, TX 77801, with an hourly pay range of $16.00 – $17.00, working day shift.

• Matches parts for door assembly.
• Off‑loads machines in the door department.
• Operates machines within the department after training and certification.
• Organizes parts prior to sand master.
• Maintains buffer.
• Applies putty and hand‑sands doors.
• Performs quality inspection of built doors, maintaining no more than a 1% reject rate per workday.
• Executes all other duties and responsibilities assigned by team leader and supervisor.

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Read and use a tape measure.
• Read and understand labels and cut lists.
• Identify wood and plywood types and sizes of materials.

• Stand and walk up to twelve hours per day on concrete surfaces while loading and stacking cabinets in the factory.
• Physically carry and transport items for long distances for up to twelve hours a day.
• L/Carry material within the weight requirements listed below for up to twelve hours a day.
• Communicate effectively with management and coworkers by phone or in person.
• Frequently bend, stoop, reach, grasp, twist, push, and pull items within the weight requirements listed below for up to twelve hours a day.
• Capable of remembering oral instructions and routine tasks.
• Withstand fluctuations in temperature and environmental conditions.
• Work the required daily and weekly hours as scheduled.
• Maintain good attendance and punctuality.

• Remain alert and identify/respond to hazards by reporting immediately or taking corrective measures if directed.
