Special Cabinet Assembler

Job Summary: Responsible for building special cabinets, components, and accessories.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Uses table saw, miter saw, dado saw, handguns, hand tools, and other specialized tools and machines to mill parts and assemble components.
• Must be able to read and interpret layouts and drawings.

• Use above average math and carpentry skills to cut angles and precise dimensions.

• Quality inspection of cabinets and components.

• All other duties as delegated by your supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess reading skills to read parts, lists, and other material required for job completion.
• Must be able to identify wood and plywood types and sizes of materials.
• Must have mathematical skills to take measurements and determine correct sizes for cabinet parts.

Essential Functions of the Job:

• Stand and walk up to twelve hours per day on concrete surfaces while loading and stacking cabinets in the factory.
• Physically carry and transport items long distances up to twelve hours a day.
• Must be able to lift, carry, and transport items which range in accordance with the requirements listed in the matrices below.
• Frequently bend, stoop, reach grasps, twist, push, and pull items which range in accordance with the requirements listed in the matrices below for up to twelve hours a day.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with management and coworkers by phone or in-person.
• Must be mentally altered and capable of remembering oral instructions and routine tasks.
• Must be able to withstand fluctuations in temperature and environmental fluctuations.
• Must be able to work the required daily and weekly work hours as determined by the schedule.
• Good attendance and punctuality are necessary.
• Must exemplify through appearance and behavior the company's image of excellence.
• Must be alert and able to identify and respond to a hazard by either reporting it immediately, or by taking corrective measures if directed.
