Special Cabinet AssemblerJob Summary:
Responsible for building special cabinets, components, and accessories.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Uses table saw, miter saw, dado saw, handguns, hand tools, and other specialized tools and machines to mill parts and assemble components.
- Must be able to read and interpret layouts and drawings.
- Use above average math and carpentry skills to cut angles and precise dimensions.
- Quality inspection of cabinets and components.
- All other duties as delegated by your supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must possess reading skills to read parts, lists, and other material required for job completion.
- Must be able to identify wood and plywood types and sizes of materials.
- Must have mathematical skills to take measurements and determine correct sizes for cabinet parts.
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Stand and walk up to twelve hours per day on concrete surfaces while loading and stacking cabinets in the factory.
- Physically carry and transport items long distances up to twelve hours a day.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and transport items which range in accordance with the requirements listed in the matrices below.
- Frequently bend, stoop, reach grasps, twist, push, and pull items which range in accordance with the requirements listed in the matrices below for up to twelve hours a day.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with management and coworkers by phone or in-person.
- Must be mentally altered and capable of remembering oral instructions and routine tasks.
- Must be able to withstand fluctuations in temperature and environmental fluctuations.
- Must be able to work the required daily and weekly work hours as determined by the schedule.
- Good attendance and punctuality are necessary.
- Must exemplify through appearance and behavior the company's image of excellence.
- Must be alert and able to identify and respond to a hazard by either reporting it immediately, or by taking corrective measures if directed.
