Job Description

The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for all aspects of production, ensuring quality and cost requirements are met, managing supervisors, coaching staff, training, scheduling, budgeting, compliance with policies, and continuous improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all aspects of production, converting raw materials into finished products that meet quality and cost requirements.
  • Manage supervisors and team members in the consistent running of the various food processes through coaching and instruction.
  • Facilitate all necessary training to support delivering the required KPIs.
  • Ensure consistent execution of policies and procedures through Team Leaders and collaboration with other managers.
  • Ensure production schedule is met to deliver service expectations, resolving scheduling conflicts arising from downtime, test runs, sanitation, and other obstacles.
  • Develop and manage the departmental budget for material usage, labor, supplies, and training; analyze projected sales and product mix trends to minimize manufacturing costs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum

Job Requirements Education and Certifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required;
    Engineering Degree highly preferred or advanced engineering coursework completed.
  • First Aid Certification.
  • Hazmat Certification.
  • Lockout/Tagout License.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
Experience

A minimum of seven years of experience with responsibility in a production/manufacturing setting.

Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Advanced knowledge of HACCP, GMPs and AIB.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team‑building skills to effectively supervise professional and non‑professional staff.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of all relevant federal and state laws, regulations and operating guidelines.
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.
  • Computer literate; able to interface with PCs and understand Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.
  • Clear and effective communication.
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills.
  • Ability to interpret and apply technical literature necessary to support job requirements.
  • Knowledge of all regulatory policies as they apply to C.H. Guenther.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervise and monitor work performance through the assistance of other supervisors, make hiring and disciplinary decisions, evaluate program/work objectives and effectiveness, and realign staffing assignments as needed.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort
  • Daily exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, humidity, darkness, and noise.
  • Physical risks from mechanical, chemical, and electrical hazards.
  • Ability to stand, sit at a desk, walk around office and plant, lift and carry packages up to 50 lb, use fine dexterity, reach, kneel, crawl, twist to inspect equipment, and see, hear and communicate with professional etiquette.
  • Personal protective equipment will be provided as defined by C.H. Guenther & Son.

Salary Range

$95,938.00 – $

Actual compensation may vary based on knowledge, skills and experience, and geographic location.
