Press Operator or Press Operator Trainee - Bryan-College Station, TX

The Bryan-College Station Eagle is hiring a full-time press operator to operate the printing press to publish the Eagle and other regional publications.

• Operate the printing press to publish the Eagle and other regional publications.
• Load newsprint, make pasters, monitor reel stands, set ink densities, registration, fill ink fountains, set folders, plate making, maintain a safe and clean press area, and perform other duties as assigned.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, distinguish colors, and possess mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work night and weekend shifts as needed.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Previous printing press experience and/or manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Working conditions are noisy; hearing protection is required.
• Training will be provided for those who show aptitude.
