Main Responsibilities:- Responsible for implementing projects to improve key processes with high impact on savings and efficiency improvements in the company.
- Establish measurement systems and data collection plans to ensure reliable, actionable performance data is available.
- Evaluate process flows, material handling, and facility layout for waste elimination and ergonomic improvement opportunities.
- Track, validate, and report CI project results including cost savings, productivity improvements, quality gains, and safety enhancements.
- Audit processes and take actions to improve them.
- Develop strategies or projects aim increasing the overall equipment efficiency.
- Drive a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement on the shop floor.
- Perform advanced Root Cause Analysis using methodologies such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA, Pareto, and DMAIC.
- Apply Six Sigma DMAIC methodology to resolve chronic quality problems and process capability issues.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required;
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred (Industrial Engineering, Business, Operations, Quality, or related field). - 2+ years of experience in manufacturing/industrial operations with demonstrated continuous improvement involvement (steel/metals manufacturing preferred).
- Working knowledge of Lean principles and problem-solving tools (A3, 5-Why, 8D, Fishbone, basic statistics).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); ability to build trackers, charts, and presentations for leadership and shop-floor teams.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and organizational skills; ability to influence without authority and work effectively across departments.
- Lean certification (Yellow/Green Belt) or equivalent training is preferred.
