Travel Nurse RN - OR - Operating Room

Job Summary

Travel RN – OR (Operating Room) in Bryan, Texas. Duration 13 weeks starting 06/15/2026. 8‑hour days, 40 hours per week, 6:30 AM‑3:00 PM Mon‑Fri, with on‑call one evening per week and 2 Saturdays or Sundays per month.

• Provide peri‑operative nursing care for a wide range of surgical cases including cardiovascular (CABG), robotic (Mako and DaVinci), neuro (craniotomies), orthopedics (trauma, total joint procedures, ORIFs), general surgery (DaVinci, open belly, trauma), and other specialties such as vitrectomies, ERCPs, colonoscopies, EGDs, cystoscopies, stent placements, TURPs.
• Scrub and assist as required; assist with circulating for CABGs.
• Operate MEDITECH charting system and document patient care.
• Float between Bryan and College Station campuses as needed.
• Precept nursing staff as requested by the unit.
• Adhere to Trauma Level 3 protocols in an acute division of nursing.

• Minimum 4 years of hospital experience (5 years preferred).
• RN license with authority to submit claims.
• ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications required.
• Experience with robotic surgery:
  Mako (orthopedics) and DaVinci (general, urology, cardiovascular) robots.
• Cardiovascular experience including CABG circulation; neuro experience with craniotomies; orthopedics experience with trauma and total joint procedures.
• Proficiency in open abdominal surgery and trauma cases.
• BSN not required; additional certifications such as CMCER, COT, COGN not mandatory.
• Ability to commit to full schedule and on‑call duties.
