Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well‑being and recovery. - Assessment:
Assesses admission and ongoing condition of patients, provides nursing care to meet physical, psychological and spiritual needs, notifies the doctor of changes requiring attention, reassesses at appropriate intervals, and adjusts care plans accordingly. - Planning:
Designs, directs, evaluates and documents plan of care, patient/family teaching and transition plans to ensure safe discharge; works with other disciplines to meet specialized patient care and discharge needs; formulates individualized goals. - Implementation:
Prepares patients physically, psychologically, and spiritually for treatments, surgeries and diagnostic studies; reports significant changes to Charge Nurse/Team Leader or physician; implements patient safety initiatives and protocols including medication safety practices. - Report
Skills:
Gives and receives reports using Bedside Shift Report with family participation, provides accurate comprehensive reports for shift continuity, delegates tasks based on coworker abilities and patient acuity. - Environment & Patient Safety:
Maintains patient and work environment to maximize safety, promptly removes used and soiled equipment, incorporates national and organizational goals to improve quality, patient safety and satisfaction, reports all safety and hazard concerns immediately. - Supplies:
Maintains accurate documentation of charges and supplies used to provide patient care through cost containment measures.
Required
- Associate of Nursing, upon hire
- At least one (1) year of RN experience
- Registered Nurse: TX, upon hire
- Basic Life Support – CPR within 14 days
Preferred
- Bachelor of Nursing, upon hire
You will work in the Brazos Valley region covering Bryan, College Station, Navasota, Caldwell, and Madisonville (TX).
