Serves as a Clinical Teaching Assistant to faculty in the Texas A&M University School of Nursing, working under a Master’s or Doctorally prepared nursing faculty member primarily in a clinical setting to supervise students during clinical learning experiences.

• Functions in the role of clinical supervisor, assisting faculty with the supervision of students’ skill performance, student evaluation, and other aspects of student learning in the clinical setting.
• Consults with a nursing faculty member in clinical settings; occasional classroom assistance may be requested for activities.

• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing
• One year of experience working as a Registered Nurse in a clinical hospital setting

• Current license as a Registered Nurse in Texas

• Three years of experience as a Registered Nurse with recent or current experience in acute care areas including medical-surgical, critical care, pediatrics, or OB
• Master of Science in Nursing

• Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
• Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Clinical expertise to function effectively and safely in the designated area of teaching.
• Ability to perform all tasks and job responsibilities safely without injury to self and others in compliance with A&M System and HSC guidelines.
