QC Technician III

Quality Control Technician – 2nd Shift (3:00 pm – 1:00 am, Monday–Friday)

The Quality Control Technician will be responsible for testing and auditing production lines and finished goods. The candidate must have the ability to understand technical concepts and be proficient with computers and technology. A successful candidate will work independently with little supervision and will display a high degree of integrity as it relates to product quality. The role requires working in a fast‑paced, people‑oriented environment.

• Observe health and safety practices when performing tests
• Perform housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness in the QC area
• Investigate customer rejects, conduct process and root‑cause analysis
• Perform all QC tests and audits requested by management
• Carry out multiple production line quality audits throughout the shift
• Support production as required
• Ensure all testing equipment is in proper working condition
• Conduct a variety of tests on finished products to determine quality within an established performance range
• Create and distribute professional defect reports promptly
• Inspect raw material as required
• Reject specification products; place questionable products on hold for disposition by management personnel
• Communicate with all shift QC technicians about product quality, problems, and status of work in progress
• Document and help train operators on customer requirements
• Perform other related duties and assignments as required

• Strong organization, prioritization, and time‑management skills
• Detail oriented
• Capacity to work in a fast‑paced, people‑oriented environment
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to understand technical concepts
• Ability to read a tape measure and use calipers
• Ability to read blueprints
• Good computer and technology skills
• Quality Assurance background desired
• Bilingual English–Spanish desired
• Basic understanding of the 5‑Why process for troubleshooting, root‑cause determination, and corrective action implementation desired
• Frequent standing
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
