- Show and lease apartment units to potential tenants with a high degree of customer service and meet monthly lease quotas.
- Complete lease forms or agreements and collect rental deposits.
- Ensure “model” apartments and target apartments are ready for show; maintain work areas and office in a clean and orderly manner; be aware of the “curb appeal” of the property.
- Have advanced knowledge of lease terms, specifications and all community policies and ability to train others.
- Have advanced knowledge of floor plans and differences and ability to train others.
- Be knowledgeable of required telephone and sales techniques.
- Develop full knowledge of application information required, screening processes and policies.
- Develop and maintain an ongoing resident retention program under the direction of the Property Manager.
- Play an active role in the renewal process.
- Maintain proper maintenance of all resident and property files.
- Submit maintenance work orders for residents and confirm satisfactory completion.
- Assist the Property Manager with hosting resident events at the property.
- Handle resident requests and complaints courteously, efficiently, and with a high degree of customer service.
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times regarding rentals, and transfer the information into the company computer system.
- Complete other administrative duties as assigned.
- Attendance is an imperative job function; must be willing to work weekends.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as lease agreements, safety rules, and other related documents.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.
- Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with all levels of employees and customers.
- Advanced knowledge of Fair Housing laws and regulations and ability to enforce them.
- Intermediate computer knowledge of Microsoft products.
- Ability to multi-task and exert excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to pass a criminal, credit, and drug screening.
- Experience with Yardi preferred.
- Bi-lingual is a plus.
