Essential Duties
  • Show and lease apartment units to potential tenants with a high degree of customer service and meet monthly lease quotas.
  • Complete lease forms or agreements and collect rental deposits.
  • Ensure “model” apartments and target apartments are ready for show; maintain work areas and office in a clean and orderly manner; be aware of the “curb appeal” of the property.
  • Have advanced knowledge of lease terms, specifications and all community policies and ability to train others.
  • Have advanced knowledge of floor plans and differences and ability to train others.
  • Be knowledgeable of required telephone and sales techniques.
  • Develop full knowledge of application information required, screening processes and policies.
  • Develop and maintain an ongoing resident retention program under the direction of the Property Manager.
  • Play an active role in the renewal process.
  • Maintain proper maintenance of all resident and property files.
  • Submit maintenance work orders for residents and confirm satisfactory completion.
  • Assist the Property Manager with hosting resident events at the property.
  • Handle resident requests and complaints courteously, efficiently, and with a high degree of customer service.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times regarding rentals, and transfer the information into the company computer system.
  • Complete other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Attendance is an imperative job function; must be willing to work weekends.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as lease agreements, safety rules, and other related documents.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with all levels of employees and customers.
  • Advanced knowledge of Fair Housing laws and regulations and ability to enforce them.
  • Intermediate computer knowledge of Microsoft products.
  • Ability to multi-task and exert excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to pass a criminal, credit, and drug screening.
  • Experience with Yardi preferred.
  • Bi-lingual is a plus.
