Position Overview

The Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Dravid Lab, under general supervision, will conduct research in the neuroscientific field, write and contribute to publications, and collaborate with other researchers and faculty.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research projects in the field of expertise.
  • Assists with preparation and cleaning of worksite.
  • Analyze data and summarize results.
  • Write and contribute to research papers, articles, and publications.
  • Mentor and supervise student and graduate researchers.
  • Prepare presentation materials for small and large groups.
  • Actively participate in technical progress reports to sponsors.
  • Compile reports for publication and grant applications.
  • Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Perform other duties assigned.
Qualifications
  • PhD in neuroscience, pharmacology, or related area (required).
  • Expertise in electrophysiology, neural circuit analysis, molecular biology, imaging, or biochemistry techniques (preferred).
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Additional Requirements
  • Availability to work weekends and/or after normal hours.
  • Will travel as required.
  • Position is grant funded; future employment may depend on funding.
