Research Technician I – Reddy Lab Agency
Location:
Bryan, Texas — Part‑time
- Research and Analysis
- Assists and performs experiment procedures involving brain EEG recording.
- Assists with neuroscience EEG analysis studies.
- Assists with performing technical operations relevant to specialized electrodes and EEG tools.
- Assists personnel involved in a series of stereology and histology studies.
- Assists and performs pharmacological studies and data compilation in the lab.
- Records behavioral observations and EEG recording traces.
- Uses computer equipment for controlling equipment and compiling data.
- Publication and Lab Management
- Assists senior staff members in conducting major field experiments and developing procedures.
- Maintains records on research experiments.
- Assists undergraduate and graduate students with their research projects.
- Training
- Participates in training and professional development sessions as needed.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two years of related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in biological or biomedical sciences or neuroscience.
- Experience in a neuroscience EEG research lab, including knowledge of advanced EEG software, experimental neural techniques and analysis, behavioral studies, stereology, and histology.
- Experience with pharmacological studies and data compilation in a research lab.
- Ability to multitask, work cooperatively, and collaborate with others.
- Experience working with individuals and communities.
- Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting brain EEG recordings and patterns.
- Ability to organize, conduct, and report pharmacological studies and experiments.
- Ability to read temporo‑spatial progression of seizures and behavioral patterns.
- Capacity to support research staff with advancing experimental studies and neural techniques.
- Knowledge of laboratory equipment, scientific apparatus, and computer equipment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
