Overview

$13.50 to $19.00 per hour. We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process.

Position Summary

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six months of management/3rd key experience. Assistant Store Managers are accountable for the day-to-day operations of the store and promoting a positive/productive environment. This role partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage Customer Relations and Customer Satisfaction.

This position sets the tone for a customer-centric environment. Alongside the Store Manager, this role analyzes store financial statements to ensure goals are met and participates in asset protection, business promotion, and customer acquisition. This role involves working with a variety of jewelry and general merchandise including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. This position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance;

Responsibilities of an Assistant Store Manager

  • Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues.
  • Monitor and assist in training Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
  • Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through company-prescribed channels.
  • Open and close the store, including cash drawers and merchandise, following procedures to protect assets.
  • Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and secure loans.
  • Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, and reporting.
  • Evaluate store financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
  • Ensure operating standards meet First Cash standards.
  • Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain value and integrity of loans.
  • Complete assigned tasks and self-development training as requested.
  • Communicate clearly with employees to align with the store’s mission and profit objectives.
  • Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
  • Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting as required by law.
  • Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise others effectively.
  • Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
  • May be asked to assist customers exterior to the building or retrieve products stored externally.
