Retail Assistant Store Manager

Pay: $13.50 to $19.00 per hour. Commission up to 8% on transactions and additional earnings above hourly rate.

Assistant Store Managers are accountable for daily store operations, promoting a positive and productive environment, and partnering with the Store Manager to lead and develop employees, recruit and retain talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations.

• Facilitate a customer‑centric environment and address customer issues promptly.
• Support training of Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
• Recruit top talent through prescribed channels.
• Open and close the store, count cash drawers and merchandise, and ensure procedures protect assets.
• Ensure asset protection through inventory control and safety procedures.
• Administer store processes: inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, systems, and reporting.
• Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability.
• Maintain operating standards meeting or exceeding First Cash standards.
• Monitor loan qualification and buying processes.
• Complete assigned tasks and training for self‑development.
• Communicate store mission and profit objectives to employees.
• Stay current on product knowledge.
• Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

• Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Demonstrated supervisory ability.
• Ability to work with firearms and attain firearms certification.
• May assist customers on the exterior and retrieve items from storage buildings.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Flexible to work multiple locations and a flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Assistant Store Managers work 40+ hours per week (hours not guaranteed).
• Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and common office equipment.
• Strong multitasking, organizational, analytical, and cash‑handling skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent work ethic and strong business sense.

Commission incentive plan eligible for 2–8% commission based on gross profit and store performance.

All employees must agree to a binding arbitration agreement for dispute resolution.

Pay rates will not be below applicable local minimum wage requirements.
