Part Time - Parking Enforcement Monitor

The Blinn College District is searching for a Part Time - Parking Enforcement Monitor at our Bryan Campus.

Job Summary

To assist parking enforcement operations within the Blinn College Police - Parking Department.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Monitor all college parking lots and issue appropriate parking citations.
  • Monitor all parking supplies and equipment.
  • Assist in monitoring pay‑by‑space machines and operations.
  • Keep golf cart clean and maintained.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications / Required Degree, License or Certifications
  • Able to understand and recognize appropriate college parking violations.
  • Able to record the violations on the appropriate violation documents.
  • Able to operate a distinctly marked parking golf cart.
  • Possess good writing skills and capable of completing departmental incident reports.
  • Possess good oral communication skills.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • State of Texas Class C Driver license.
Minimum Competencies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Ability to interface with and communicate with deans, directors, faculty, and students.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Positive customer service skills.
  • Past experience in other public relations positions.
Special Notes To Applicants

Maximum of 19 hours per week. The specific requirements for becoming a parking enforcement officer include being at least 18 years old, having a minimum of a high school diploma or GED, being in good physical shape as the position often requires walking, and possessing reading comprehension and math skills. The role also requires the ability to articulate a parking violation and communicate politely and professionally.

Physical demands: moderate lifting 15 to 44 lbs., walking, standing, sitting, stooping, operating mechanical equipment, hearing (with or without aid), writing, counting, moderate carrying 15 to 44 lbs., seeing, identifying colors, reading, telling time. Work environment: outside, excessive heat, excessive cold, excessive humidity, working around moving objects or vehicles, constant noise.
