Field/Service Technician, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Installation Technician, Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Install, repair, and maintain hydraulic and electrical drilling equipment, including iron roughnecks, catwalks, and laydown machines. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to work long hours in all weather conditions, and a willingness to travel to drilling sites across the U.S., with occasional international assignments. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently while ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
Job Duties / Responsibilities- Must understand and comply with all company safety rules and regulations.
- Install, repair, and maintain hydraulic and electrical drilling equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime.
- Work long hours in various weather conditions.
- Travel primarily within the U.S., with potential for international assignments.
- Maintain detailed service records and complete required documentation.
- Stay organized and manage tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a focus on hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems in the field.
- Familiarity with oilfield drilling equipment and operations.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- High School Diploma required.
- Technical training or the equivalent preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in field service, specifically with hydraulic and electrical systems.
