Job Summary: Responsible for installing hardware such as drawer guides, drawers, screws, and other accessories in designated areas to ensure structural integrity.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assemble various cabinet components and materials.
  • Safely operate assigned equipment such as staple guns, drills, and drawer presses.
  • Proficiently use a tape measure to determine sizes for parts.
  • Maintain no more than a one-percent rejection rate per workday.
  • Supply the sufficient amount of parts in the buffers established by the schedule.
  • Inspect component parts prior to working on them and again after they have been machined for correct specifications.
  • Match drawers to the adequate cabinet.
  • Install the drawers to the adequate cabinet.
Qualifications:
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have mathematical skills to take measurements on cabinets and materials.
  • Must have corrected hearing to listen to needs and instructions of managers and coworkers and listen to the environment to be aware of surroundings.
  • Must have corrected vision to be aware of surroundings and locations of items needed.
  • Should have knowledge of/or ability to use a tape measure, saws, drills, and other hand tools.
Essential Functions of the Job:
  • Stands and walks up to a total of ten hours per day on a concrete surface.
  • Lifts and carries cabinets, parts, and tools in accordance with the requirements listed in the matrices below, frequently and repetitively for up to ten hours a day.
  • Bends and stoops to reach areas difficult to access.
  • Performs twisting and rotation motions using head/neck, waist, knees, and arms while installing doors.
  • Frequently reaches in order to attach parts and complete final assembly of cabinets.
  • Handles drills, hand tools, hardware, and cabinet parts. Handling may be done unilaterally (one-handed) or bilaterally (two-handed) depending on the size and shape of the task being performed.
  • Constantly uses fingers in order to attach hardware, drawers, and various parts to finished cabinets.
  • Must be mentally alert and capable of remembering faces, names, oral instructions, and details of varying types and sizes of materials and cabinets.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with management and coworkers by phone or in-person.
  • Must be mentally altered and capable of remembering oral instructions and routine tasks.
  • Must be able to withstand fluctuations in temperature and environmental fluctuations.
  • Must be able to work the required daily and weekly work hours as determined by the schedule.
  • Good attendance and punctuality are necessary.
  • Must exemplify through appearance and behavior the company's image of excellence.
  • Must be alert and able to identify and respond to a hazard by either reporting it immediately, or by taking corrective measures if directed.
