Technician III-Shop Position

Hiring immediately for a Technician III-Shop role at Sunstate Equipment Co., based in the shop in Bryan, TX. The position may require occasional maintenance or repair in the field.

Typical Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM (overtime eligible). Pay: $35+ per hour, plus discretionary quarterly branch performance bonus. Paid weekly.

• Inspect, service, and test equipment, ensuring performance to manufacturer specifications
• Perform routine service on equipment, including checking fluid levels, changing fluid, and lubricating
• Perform novice level welding repairs (MIG & SMAW)
• Prepare and maintain accurate records on the maintenance and repair of equipment, including warranty records

• Minimum of 2 to 3+ years’ experience as a diesel mechanic; construction equipment rental background preferred
• Intermediate troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel engines (including Tier 4 and aftertreatment systems)
• Experience performing major and minor repairs on diesel and gas engines, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and drive trains
• Must have the necessary tools you need to do the job; averaging $5,000+ in value
