Commercial HVAC Technician

Job Description

Talent corps is currently seeking HVAC Technicians for a local client in the College Station area.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation & Setup: Assemble, install, and connect HVAC units, wiring, and ductwork according to manufacturer specifications and local building codes.
• Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Use diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters, pressure gauges) to identify mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues.
• Maintenance & Repair: Clean, adjust, and repair or replace defective parts (compressors, motors, fans, thermostats) to prevent system breakdowns.
• Refrigerant Management: Handle, recover, and recharge refrigerants in strict compliance with EPA regulations.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED; completion of an HVAC vocational or trade school program is preferred.
• Certifications:EPA Section 608 Certification is highly preferred
• Must have 4+ years of commercial or industrial HVAC service/maint
• Must have excellent diagnostic skills and perform repairs
• Experience with multiples types of equipment to include hydronic systems, DX units, chillers, and other refrigerants
• Proficient in reading schematics, blueprints or other diagrams
• Must be able to pass background and drug screen
