Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused CDL Driver to support the daily operations of chemical distribution. This role involves the safe and efficient operation of Class8 tractors and related equipment to transport hazardous and non‑hazardous materials, including both liquid and dry products. You will perform bulk and packaged deliveries, execute proper loading and unloading procedures, complete required documentation, and ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and Brenntag’s safety standards.

- Operate a Class8 tractor and trailer or applicable service vehicle safely and efficiently.
- Transport HAZMAT and non‑hazardous materials, including liquids and dry products, for outside deliveries, in‑plant spotting, and inter‑company branch transfers.
- Manage bulk deliveries, including loading and off‑loading using pumps, air and other equipment, securement, and execution of all applicable paperwork.
- Handle packaged deliveries of drums, IBCs, palletized material, and supersacks, ensuring proper transfer, delivery, securement, and paperwork.
- Comply with all DOT, OSHA, and site‑specific rules during loading, unloading, placarding, pre‑inspection, daily logs, and reporting repairs.
- Follow Brenntag operating procedures, work instructions, safety policies, and customer/vendor site regulations.
- Operate pallet jacks (electric or manual); if required, operate forklifts and accessories, dock locks, dock levelers, and other delivery equipment.
- Maintain assigned equipment, including ELDs, virtual gateways, camera systems, and tracking units; ensure equipment is in good working order and perform housekeeping.
- Communicate with supervisors and dispatchers for delivery instructions and situational updates.
- High school diploma, GED or U.S. military experience.
- Must meet all driver qualification (DQ) components for employment.
- Class“A” CDL with Tanker, Bulk, and/or Hazmat endorsement (as required for the role).
- Current DOT medical card and, if wearing a respirator, no facial hair that interferes with it.
- Current TWIC card or proof of application if required.
- Ability to drive a manual transmission.
- Preferred: minimum 1 year liquid bulk hauling experience or 3 years commercial trucking experience; certification from an Accredited Commercial Driving Academy.

- Operate power units with advanced camera and safety systems for compliance purposes.
- Reside within 60 miles of the assigned area; no lodging provided.
- Pass pre‑employment drug screen, background check, and E‑Verify check.
- Pass a pre‑employment DOT fit‑for‑duty exam.
- Ability to sit and drive for long hours.
- Ability to step into and out of equipment safely.
- Ability to stage, move, set up, operate, and break down equipment while loading and delivering.
- Lifting up to 75lbs, moving up to 150lbs.
- Wear respirator (if required) and all personal protective equipment.
