Position OverviewAs a Long-Haul Driver at Kristen Distributing, you will contribute to the transportation team by ensuring the seamless and reliable delivery of beverage products from suppliers to our warehouse. This is a no-overnight position, with you returning home each night. Your role is critical in maintaining supply chain integrity and ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods. Your primary responsibilities include efficient load pickup from breweries and suppliers, safety compliance, and collaborative delivery with contractors such as BWAY.
Key ResponsibilitiesYour Essential Duties Will Include
- Pick up loads of beverages from breweries and suppliers in a timely and efficient manner.
- Safely transport loads of product to Kristen Distributing Warehouse, following designated routes.
- Collaborate with contractors, such as BWAY, to deliver products as required.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its safe operation, promptly reporting any malfunctions or issues.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance upkeep of delivery vehicle/trailer.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date log books, documenting driving hours, rest periods, and other required information.
- Adhere to DOT and DPS mandated regulations to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Obey all applicable traffic laws and adjust driving behavior according to weather and road conditions.
- Uphold compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Perform any related duties assigned by the supervisor to ensure the smooth operation of the transportation department.
- Compensation:

- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with no automatic-transmission (“E”) restriction.
- Proficiency in operating manual-transmission semi-trucks; long-haul trucks are equipped with standard (manual) transmissions.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven commercial driving experience with a safe driving history.
- Understanding of safety regulations, including DOT and DPS mandates.
- Ability to conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain log books.
- Commitment to traffic laws and adapting to weather and road conditions.
- Uphold company policies and procedures related to transportation and delivery.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to provide positive customer service while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
- Must pass a drug test and background check.
