Position Overview The Part-Time Delivery Prep Associate at Kristen Distributing Company is responsible for wrapping, sequencing, and loading completed customer orders in preparation for delivery while working a consistent weekday schedule of 20–25 hours per week. This position ensures that each order is securely wrapped using the wrapping machine, organized by route and stop sequence, and properly loaded onto trailers to support efficient and safe delivery.

The Delivery Prep Associate also takes into account weight distribution within the trailer to prevent damage to product and reduce the risk of rollover during transport, playing a key role in both customer satisfaction and driver safety.

Key Responsibilities Your essential duties will include:

Order Wrapping:
Wrap completed customer orders using the automated wrapping machine after QA verification

Load Sequencing:
Organize wrapped pallets in delivery sequence by route and stop number to support efficient driver offload

Trailer Loading:
Load orders onto trailers in proper sequence while ensuring stability and minimizing potential for product movement

Weight Distribution:
Strategically load trailers with consideration for even weight distribution to prevent tipping or trailer instability

Pallet Handling:
Operate pallet jacks or forklifts (with proper certification) to stage and load product

Communication:
Coordinate with QA Associates and warehouse leads to verify order readiness and address discrepancies

Damage Prevention:
Handle all product with care to reduce potential for damage during loading or transport

Safety Awareness:
Follow warehouse safety procedures during all loading and material handling activities

Work Area Maintenance:
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized loading area and dock space

Lifting & Handling:
Safely lift and move products up to 50 lbs. while following proper handling techniques and safety protocols

Other Duties:
Demonstrate flexibility and initiative by performing other job-related tasks as assigned to support warehouse operations

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous warehouse or loading experience preferred

Experience operating pallet jacks; forklift experience or certification is a plus Understanding of proper trailer loading techniques and weight distribution best practices

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow load sequencing accurately

Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring frequent standing, bending, and reaching

Ability to follow instructions, complete tasks independently, and meet shift expectations

Commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining a clean, organized work environment

Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
