Warehouse Worker - Forklift Driver
The Brazos Valley Food Bank (BVFB), a private, non-profit organization that provides hunger-relief in the Brazos Valley (Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Madison, Robertson, and Washington Counties), is in search of a Full-Time Warehouse Worker/Forklift Driver (40 hours/week). The position is Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm and will report to the Inventory & Facility Manager. The Warehouse Worker-Forklift Driver is responsible for safely and accurately unloading & receiving food inventory, getting food orders pulled and ready for distribution, as well as ensuring the facility is kept in its best, working order to support all of BVFB’s operations.
To do this, the Warehouse Worker-Forklift Driver must work with the Inventory & Facility Manager to complete daily/weekly/monthly checklist, over-see and assist volunteers working in the Warehouse, maintain proper storage and racking of food, regularly conduct cycle counts and physical inventory, and ensure orders are pulled.
- Inventory Cycle Counts
- Unload product from donors/vendors and complete any invoices that are necessary
- Unload Food Reclamation loads
- Storing reclamation pallets on dry storage trailer
- Tag and store pallets after they have been received into our system
- Receive donations from the public and logging appropriately
