Customer Service Representative

Company Description

Performance Food service, PFG's broadline distributor, maintains unique relationships with local customers including independent restaurants, hotels, healthcare facilities, schools, and quick-service eateries. The team builds close relationships and provides advice on improving operations, menu development, product selection and strategies. The Performance Food service team delivers food and helps independent restaurant owners achieve their dreams.

Responsible for assisting all customers with order entries and inquiries, keeping customers satisfied, solving problems, and ensuring questions are answered accurately and timely. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, performing any duty assigned to serve the company.

• Effectively communicate with customers
• Process telephone orders for customers
• Work with customers and sales associates to effectively manage deliveries
• Efficiently evaluate and respond to customer orders and requests
• Data entry
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Work on site at Little Rock facility

• Required
  
  Education:
  
  High School Diploma/GED
• Required Experience: 6 - 12 months in customer service, call center or related area
• Preferred Education: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
• Preferred Experience: 1 - 2 years in customer service, call center or related area within food service industry
• Preferred qualifications: Ten key foundational skills:
  Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook), food service knowledge a plus, bilingual a plus
