Part Time Paraprofessional

Overview

Paraprofessional position within the Education Department at the Arkansas Juvenile Assessment and Treatment Center (AJATC) in Bryant, Arkansas. AJATC is a secure residential program for at-risk youth, featuring on-site school, library, vocational training, chapel, gym, medical services and outdoor recreation.

• Provide instructional services to students under the direction of certified staff.
• Deliver and assist in instruction of classes with effective classroom management strategies.
• Conduct small group instruction and, when needed, individual instruction.
• Track attendance, maintain weekly grades, and ensure student grades are posted and accessible.

• Associate’s Degree OR active Paraprofessional Certification.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug test, physical examination, and TB test.
• Ability to pass a search of the Child and Adult Abuse Central Registry.
• Meet driver requirements to become an ROP eligible driver, including possessing a valid driver’s license.

Part-time position; may not work above 28 hours per week. Pay: $18.01 per hour; pay may increase with additional education and experience.
