The Registered Medical Assistant assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. The Registered Medical Assistant will conduct patient intake, take vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and complete patient health history in the electronic medical record. The ideal candidate will display good decision making skills, be able to multi-task, have knowledge of anatomy, and is proficient in medical terminology.
This role may be required to draw and collect blood samples for patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis, which may involve exposure to bodily fluids during patient care. The assistant must be friendly, professional, and able to keep a fast pace during clinic hours.
Other information:
- CPR certification required
- High School diploma or GED equivalent is required if working in the lab
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred
- Registered Medical Assistant certification required
This job will be authorized
80.00 hours bi-weekly.
