Junior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Perform daily transaction reconciliation and ensure all activity is accurately accounted for.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, including cost, brand, location balances, and order status adjustments.
• Process and record banking transactions, including check deposits and payment activity.
• Prepare and file sales tax returns and maintain accurate tax rate information.
• Enter and process non-inventory bills, ensuring accurate GL classification and timely payment.
• Record and reconcile inventory transfer transactions across warehouse locations.
• Manage rebate and co‑op agreement data entry and follow up with vendors to ensure accuracy.
• Review exception and discrepancy reports and investigate variances for resolution.
• Support audit readiness by maintaining organized documentation and providing requested support files.
• Monitor construction‑in‑progress accounts and post reclassification entries as appropriate.
• Support ad hoc requests and special projects as directed by management.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in public accounting or an equivalent accounting role.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Excel.
• Ability to identify areas for improvement.
• Highly collaborative and self‑motivated team player.
• Experience in dynamic, fast‑paced environments.

Demonstrates expertise in transaction reconciliation, inventory management, and financial reporting, with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance. Proficient in utilizing analytical skills and MS Excel to enhance operational efficiency and support audit readiness.
