General Statement of Responsibilities

The Teacher will establish positive relationships with students, faculty, staff, and parents, maintain confidentiality and professionalism, deliver a flexible curriculum, and provide a safe learning environment that promotes student growth.

Principal Duties
  • Teach district‑approved curriculum.
  • Attend work as scheduled and serve assigned classes as designated.
  • Encourage students to maintain classroom behavior standards.
  • Evaluate students’ academic and social growth, keep records, and prepare progress reports.
  • Collaborate with instructional staff, parents, and community resources to improve student outcomes.
  • Supervise students across various environments to ensure safety and positivity.
  • Be available to students and parents for education‑related matters outside instructional hours as assigned.
  • Attend site and district workshops, in‑services, and other professional development activities.
  • Comply with all governing board rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Perform management tasks or other duties as assigned by administration or the governing board.
Occupational Condition

Low risk indoor work with exposure to noise and prolonged standing. Occasionally outdoor travel in inclement conditions and movement through crowded corridors.

Physical Demands
  • Stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
  • Occasional lifting of 20–50 pounds and frequent lifting of up to 10 pounds.
  • Close vision for reading and adjusting focus; hearing to monitor and respond to student activity.
Qualifications
  • Valid Arizona teaching certificate and subject‑area credentials.
  • Structured English Immersion endorsement.
  • Valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints Fingerprint Clearance Card.
