The Team

You’ll join two people on the Faculty Development team—the Sr. Program Officer—Faculty Development and the Program Officer—Faculty Development. Our team’s mission is to help tribal college faculty thrive and excel in their roles as educators, scholars, and leaders. We offer a variety of programs and resources for faculty, including an annual conference, writing retreats, graduate school fellowships, and professional development workshops.

Who You Are

The College Fund is looking for an organized and detail-oriented Faculty Development Program Coordinator to support programs that serve faculty across 34 tribal colleges. This individual will serve as an important front-line contact for faculty and coordinate the day-to-day operations of several programs. The program coordinator will have polished communication skills and is comfortable providing support to faculty members. The position requires excellent program and time management skills due to the large number of institutions we serve and the wide range of programs we offer.

The program coordinator will cultivate relationships with more than 1,600 faculty across 34 institutions, College Fund staff, and TCU administrators and staff. This position reports to the Sr. Program Officer—Faculty Development and is expected to travel 1-2 times per year. This position is ideally based in our Denver, Colorado office; however, remote candidates will be considered.

What You’ll Do
Program Coordination and Implementation
  • Coordinate logistics of an annual, two-day academic conference, including registration, presenter travel, hotel setup, A/V and meals, onsite coordination, registrant questions, vendor payments, and travel reimbursements
  • Handle administrative aspects of the faculty fellowship program, including developing contracts and making disbursements, in partnership with program officer
  • Manage registration and logistics for faculty professional development (PD) courses and workshops
  • Contribute ideas for improving the implementation and monitoring of programs and projects
  • Be knowledgeable about the PD needs of faculty and help develop programs and activities to meet those needs
Data Management and Reporting
  • Develop and maintain highly accurate and organized tracking systems that provide up-to-date information on key programs (e.g., faculty conference registration, fellowship disbursements)
  • Help collect evaluation data that is used to assess our success and impact
  • Maintain updated contact lists for faculty and other stakeholders
  • Gather and organize data and information for various reports and budgets
  • Help monitor budgets and grant deliverables to ensure each program’s objectives are met
General Program Support and Team Operations
  • Develop and maintain an efficient, clear file management system
  • Be responsible for updating faculty pages on website and fellowship application portal (e.g., Final date to receive applications dates, posting conference resources, posting completed dissertations)
  • Process payments to conference presenters, fellows, and consultants (e.g., travel reimbursements, consulting payments)
  • Contribute content for faculty newsletter and disseminate newsletter
  • Work with public education team to highlight faculty and faculty development programming through blogs and press releases
