OverviewThe Engineering II / III / Senior roles progress in scope, independence, and technical authority. The Engineer II performs engineering design, modifications, and economic and analytical support with general guidance, applying established engineering methods while developing technical judgment and providing limited guidance to others. The Engineer III builds on this foundation by working more independently, contributing to long range system planning, proposals, and presentations, and taking increased responsibility for technical decisions and interpretations while regularly providing technical leadership.
The Engineer Senior applies in depth expertise to highly complex projects and emergent issues, serves as a recognized technical authority with broad or specialized knowledge, establishes the most effective solutions, and is relied upon for final technical decisions with work reviewed primarily for long term results rather than methods.
Provide engineering design, modifications, and analytical support; contribute to system planning, proposals, and presentations; exercise technical leadership and make informed technical decisions for complex projects and emergent issues.
