Seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager – Fixed Plant Equipment to support a major copper mining development in Arizona. This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all fixed plant maintenance activities, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of mineral processing facilities while supporting commissioning, startup, and long-term operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead maintenance activities across crushing, grinding, flotation, filtration, tailings, water treatment, utilities, and supporting fixed plant infrastructure
  • Develop and implement maintenance management systems, work management processes, preventive maintenance programs, and planning & scheduling strategies
  • Lead maintenance readiness activities for commissioning, startup, and plant ramp-up
  • Plan and manage major shutdowns, turnarounds, outages, and asset preservation programs
  • Manage maintenance budgets, contractor performance, OEM relationships, and cost control initiatives
  • Build, mentor, and develop high-performing maintenance teams through recruitment, coaching, and succession planning
  • Partner with Operations, Metallurgy, Reliability, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to maximise plant availability and equipment performance
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, asset performance, productivity, and operational efficiency
  • Participate in engineering design reviews to ensure maintainability, operability, accessibility, and safety are incorporated into new facilities
  • Support sustaining capital planning, long-term asset management strategies, operational readiness assessments, and technical reviews
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements across maintenance operations
  • Support emergency response planning and business continuity initiatives as required
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 15 years of maintenance experience within mining or heavy industrial operations
  • Minimum 10 years supporting large mineral processing or fixed plant facilities

    Minimum 5 years in a maintenance leadership or management position
  • Strong experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, shutdown management, asset management, and reliability programs
  • Proven experience managing maintenance budgets, contractors, OEMs, and multidisciplinary maintenance teams
  • Strong understanding of fixed plant equipment including crushing, grinding, conveyors, pumps, flotation, filtration, utilities, and tailings systems
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Experience
  • Copper concentrator or base metals processing experience
  • Greenfield mining project experience
  • Commissioning, startup, and operational readiness experience
  • Project management experience on large mining or processing facilities
  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or equivalent reliability certification
  • Experience implementing reliability-centred maintenance (RCM), TPM, FMEA, RCA, or other continuous improvement methodologies
