- Lead and grow a team of Cloud/Dev Ops engineers
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and career development

- Partner with staff engineers and architects to set technical direction

- Own hiring and team composition, including interviewing, leveling, and onboarding

- Manage cross-functional stakeholder relationships
- Translate business needs into engineering work streams
- Monitor team health, developer experience, and delivery metrics
- Lead cloud infrastructure, tooling, and platform services for Venmo
- Focus on disaster recovery, chaos engineering, and failover game days
- 5+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR any equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor’s in computer science or related field; advanced degree a plus
- 7+ years of software engineering experience
- 2+ years of engineering management experience, leading teams of 4 or more engineers
- Strong technical background in cloud infrastructure, Dev Ops, or SRE
- Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, or similar technologies
- Proven ability to hire, develop, and retain top engineering talent
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience managing distributed teams and complex cross-functional programs
- Track record of delivering high-quality systems at scale
Demonstrates expertise in leading Cloud and Dev Ops teams, focusing on strategic infrastructure initiatives, operational excellence, and effective stakeholder management. Proven ability to mentor engineers, drive team performance, and deliver high-quality systems at scale.
