  • Define and lead architectural priorities advancing business and technology strategy within a specific domain
  • Participate in Architecture Standards Board and Technology Review Board governance forums
  • Manage the business capability inventory for the domain
  • Develop domain standards and patterns and bring them to the Architecture Standards Board for approval
  • Design and document solution architecture for applications and capabilities
  • Collaborate with business, product, and IT teams to ensure designs are safe, secure, compliant, reliable, and aligned with business needs
  • Review solution architecture designs in the Technology Review Board and ensure alignment with approved standards and patterns
  • Advocate for architecture principles, standards, and patterns across the organization
  • Partner strategically with delivery organization leaders and senior engineers
  • Identify and lead opportunities to advance domain capabilities through new technology and reuse of products, services, and platforms
  • Incorporate opportunities into application and platform roadmaps
  • Facilitate proofs of concept and pilots for new and emerging technology
  • Represent Application, Infrastructure, and Security capabilities and solutions in discussions with IT and business leaders
  • Develop options and recommendations based on domain problems and opportunities
  • Build relationships with segment and business partners, product managers, and product engineering teams
  • Understand current-state business processes, functional capabilities, and the technology ecosystem
  • Assess domain maturity and develop architecture strategy, roadmaps, and designs for Specialty Deposits platforms and capabilities
  • Evaluate emerging technology trends and their practical application to business and operating models
  • Facilitate evaluation and selection of software product standards and services
  • Design standard and custom software configurations
  • Work with product owners and product managers to maintain an architectural runway for future requirements throughout the product lifecycle
  • Monitor the solution portfolio and identify deficiencies caused by aging technologies
  • Support efforts to drive delivery functions toward Agile and Dev Ops/Fin Ops delivery models
  • Develop content for and communicate with executive stakeholders, engineering teams, and Scrum teams
Requirements
  • 10+ years of related experience, preferably with enterprise architecture
  • Bachelor's degree in related field required
  • Previous leadership experience preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge of general Financial Services or Banking preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices
  • Objective mindset based on data, analysis, and POC results, unbiased toward specific technology or vendor choices
  • Advanced experience in an architecture function, developing reference architectures and patterns and supporting governance functions
  • Knowledge and experience related to Application Development, Cloud Compute, Storage and Networking technologies, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Serverless, Containers, Automation, and Security
  • Advanced understanding of product management, agile principles, and development methodologies
  • Capability to support agile and Dev Ops teams by advising on opportunities, impact, risks, technical debt, and architectural debt
  • Advanced speaking and writing communication skills
  • May require up to 25% travel
