Position: Specialty Sales Team Leader- (Buckeye, AZ)

Starting pay per hour: $22.00–$24.00. Full pay per hour: $22.00–$37.40. Pay varies by location, experience, education, and certifications.

Overview

A Specialty Sales Team Leader leads a team of specialty consultants in categories such as Apparel & Accessories, Home, Baby, Core Beauty, and Electronics. The role focuses on delivering a guest‑first culture, managing inventory, pricing, promotions, and visual merchandising while coaching and developing team members.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver guest‑experience commitments to create an easy, inspiring, and friendly environment.
  • Ensure every team member understands, is trained, and consistently delivers on Target’s guest‑experience commitments.
  • Observe, provide feedback, and hold team members accountable while recognizing strong guest‑experience moments.
  • Review area guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities, take action, and align the team on behaviors that deliver results.
  • Model, train, and coach team members to meet the Guest Service Model culture of inclusivity and respect.
  • Plan daily and weekly workloads, merchandising sets, promotions, and events to support sales goals.
  • Lead a culture of best practices through onboarding, learning, and closing skill gaps.
  • Assign daily tasks based on planned workload and guest traffic patterns.
  • Encourage use of department tools to welcome, inspire, and influence guests with personalized recommendations.
  • Partner with third‑party vendors to ensure brand standards, merchandising, and visual presentations are met.
  • Support back‑room processes, organization, layout, and replenishment to keep products available.
  • Participate in hiring and onboarding of new team members.
  • Ensure fitting rooms and other guest areas are welcoming, clean, and safe.
  • Hold team members accountable to clear goals and expectations.
  • Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance, including hazard identification and incident reporting.
  • Model and enforce physical security processes to enhance the store’s security culture.
  • Support merchandise protection strategies across the store.
  • Assume store‑level leadership on duty responsibilities when needed.
  • Support guest services such as back‑up cashier, order pick‑up, and Drive‑up operations.
  • Perform any additional duties required by the business.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; at least 18 years of age.
  • Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to lead and hold others accountable.
  • Effective communication skills on multiple frequency devices and handheld scanners.
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong workload management, task prioritization, and goal focus.
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and teammates.
  • Calm and composed in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Flexible with variable work schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times.
  • Physical ability to climb ladders, lift up to 15 lb (occasionally 44 lb), and remain mobile throughout the shift.
  • Access to all building areas to respond to guest or team member issues.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other conditions (e.g., Drive‑Up, carryout).
