Job Overview
PHI Health is seeking an A&P licensed aircraft mechanic with a minimum of 2 years experience as a Certified Aircraft Mechanic to work on our helicopter fleet in Buckeye, AZ. The role focuses on maintaining the airworthiness and readiness of our aircraft, supporting emergency response missions, and ensuring rigorous safety standards are met.
Responsibilities- Review and evaluate daily maintenance or inspection requirements to maintain aircraft airworthiness.
- Notify the Lead Mechanic of unusual situations requiring schedule changes, aircraft changes, extra manpower or technical assistance.
- At a field base, maintain assigned aircraft, review stock levels, requisition spares, and handle inventory levels.
- Ensure the safety and security of all company assets at the field base.
- Prepare reports, requisitions, inventories, and certify work on aircraft logs and related inspection and maintenance forms per FAA, manufacturer, and PHI Health requirements.
- Enter work packages, status sheets, removals and installs in RAMCO.
- Maintain close communication with Lead Mechanic, AMBS and other agents to ensure effective and timely job completion.
- Maintain parts inventory and recommend level changes when necessary.
- Maintain company‑provided special tools and ensure scheduled calibrations.
- Perform miscellaneous related duties as assigned.
- High School diploma.
- FAA Mechanic Certificate with both Airframe and Powerplant endorsements.
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience as a Certified Mechanic.
- Basic communication and computer skills.
- Must pass a pre‑placement physical exam including functional capacity test (strength and flexibility assessment, lift up to 100 pounds).
- Pass drug screening and background check.
- For the PHI Roving Maintenance Team: sheet metal repair and/or avionics troubleshooting/repair skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently, sometimes on short notice.
- Ability to work night shifts as required by maintenance events.
Competitive pay with shift bonuses and annual safety/employee bonuses. Sign‑on bonus up to $25,000. Additional benefits include health, dental, vision, retirement, and other standard PHI Health benefits.
Schedule & Location7/7 schedule. Candidates must live within one hour drive or 60 miles from the Buckeye base. Travel between bases is required.
