Position Summary
The primary function of a CDL Driver & Delivery Helper is to safely and efficiently operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with company policies along with Federal and State regulations, and deliver all freight undamaged. The role requires working as a team player to deliver, load/unload materials while providing a world‑class customer service experience.
Duties & Responsibilities- Inspect truck/trailer for defects to ensure safe operation.
- Perform pre‑trip inspections of equipment, paperwork, and loaded product to ensure accuracy of order.
- Safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom truck.
- Safely deliver and unload materials to an assigned area as directed by the customer.
- Prepare the truck for the following day and maintain the truck and the equipment.
- Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations.
- Report all accidents involving driver or company equipment.
- Lift heavy building materials up to 100+ lbs. for load/unload.
- Navigate routes to the job site.
- Provide excellent customer service skills and a professional attitude.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate information accurately.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL). Minimum Class B License;
Class A strongly preferred. - Clear three‑year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
- Knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.
- Experience with boom or crane preferred.
- Demonstrate trust and integrity in all actions.

- Lift heavy building materials up to 80 lbs. for loading/unloading.
- Frequent movement of materials weighing up to 80 lbs. while unloading flatbeds.
- Constantly move from unloading materials from a commercial motor vehicle onto the job site.
- View and judge distance while delivering materials and/or operating a boom.
- Communicate with management and coworkers and exchange accurate information in real‑time.
- Work externally in outdoor environments while making deliveries.
- Prioritize job sites and deadlines.
- Manage stress according to customer deadlines.
- Multitask effectively.
- Receive information and directions promptly.
- Communicate solutions quickly when problems occur.
- Exercise sound judgement at all times.
