Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

This is a 13-week contract position.

12-hour shifts on days, including weekends as scheduled.

The Labor & Delivery unit is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive care to expectant mothers and their newborns. The unit consists of 8 beds, including 4 labor beds and 4 postpartum beds, with a capacity for 8 cribs in the nursery. The RN will work closely with the healthcare team to ensure a safe and efficient delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care during labor and delivery, including assessment and monitoring of maternal and fetal status.
• Prepare and assist with C-sections as needed, including the ability to circulate when necessary.
• Administer medications and manage IV drips as per physician orders.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Conduct triage assessments, utilizing labor beds as required.
• Participate in educational sessions for new mothers regarding postpartum care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using the Tru Bridge charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Certifications:
  
  BLS, ACLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (FHM), and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).
• Experience with C-sections and L&D nursing preferred.
