Job Overview- Location: Buckinghamshire Jaguar Land Rover
- Contract type: Permanent Full Time
- Working hours: 40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday 08:00‑18:00 with 1 hour lunch
We are looking for an experienced Workshop Controller to join our dynamic team at the Buckinghamshire Jaguar Land Rover dealership. The Workshop Controller will supervise and motivate technicians and apprentices, proactively review and prioritise the daily workload, and play a crucial role in the Aftersales Department.
The successful candidate will report to the Aftersales Manager and will be responsible for the day‑to‑day running of the workshop, ensuring technicians achieve their daily targets and that the department provides the best possible service to customers.
Responsibilities- Ensure all working practices comply with company, DVSA, health and safety, and OEM policy.
- Ensure all service work is carried out correctly, competently and on time, with customer satisfaction in mind.
- Maintain relationships with vehicle manufacturers and provide support to Technicians during repairs, ensuring high standards are achieved and maintained within the workshop.
- Liaise with colleagues and other departments to ensure a top quality service for customers.
- Schedule work to meet customer needs, taking into account workshop targets, the complexity of each job and the availability of parts.
- Assist with technical challenges by going above and beyond to support the team and writing technical reports.
