What we do at Weir

We are a global leader in mining technology for a sustainable future. We help our customers extract the resources the world needs more efficiently and more sustainably. Our planet’s future depends on the transition to renewable energy, and that transition can only happen with the metals and minerals our customers deliver. So, we work side by side with mines across the globe to move less rock, use less energy, use water wisely, and create less waste.

Together, we drive the shift to smart, efficient, and more sustainable mining.

  • Nesting & Programming Support:
Use Pro Nest software to create and maintain nesting programs that maximize material utilization. Support machine programming activities for burning, punching, drilling, and other fabrication operations. Maintain nesting libraries and update manufacturing routings to reflect program readiness.

Communicate production priorities and schedule changes to Manufacturing Supervisors and Team Leaders. Monitor work center performance, identify bottlenecks, and coordinate with Engineering on drawings and manufacturing changes. Provide order status updates to Sales, Shipping, and Customer Service.

Apply Lean Manufacturing, PDCA, and structured problem-solving methodologies to enhance planning and scheduling processes. Develop standard work for planning functions and support cross-training and backup coverage. Participate in initiatives focused on flow, inventory, and delivery performance.
