Special Education Teacher - Buda, TX

Multiple contract positions are available, focused on both high school and elementary settings near Buda, TX. These roles are tailored to educators passionate about inclusive education and individualized instruction.

Available positions include:

• High School Focus Teacher:
  Guide students in an inclusive behavior program. Support learners who benefit from structured redirection and a calming environment to encourage positive behavior and engagement.
• Elementary Inclusion/Resource Teacher:
  Collaborate with general education teachers to co-deliver instruction and provide resource room support. Adapt and modify lessons to ensure all students access the same curriculum with the accommodations they need.
• Elementary & High School Alternate Curriculum (Lifeskills) Teacher:
  Provide specialized instruction for students with cognitive impairments who require an adapted curriculum. Foster independence and life skills alongside academic development.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teaching Certification for the state of Texas.
• Experience with inclusive classrooms, life skills, or behavior management preferred.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
• Creative approach to instruction and a commitment to adapting content for diverse learning styles.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student.
• Use evidence-based strategies to foster student engagement and progress.
• Maintain regular communication with families, support staff, and administration.
• Document progress, interventions, and updates per district and legal standards.
• Create a supportive, structured classroom environment where all students can thrive.
