This position is based at our Deep Eddy Vodka production facility in Buda, TX. Schedule for this position is Friday, Saturday, Sunday, working a 12 (twelve) hour overnight shift, 5:30pm-6:00am.
What the Role IsThe Assistant Lead Bottling Line Operator is responsible for supporting the Bottling Line Lead in ensuring the line runs smoothly and continues to run during operating hours. This position will assist in ensuring the overall quality of the bottling process and product, which includes visually inspecting the product and making repairs as necessary. The Assistant Line Lead gives work directions to other team members when the Lead Production Team Member is out of the office and makes operating decisions under the direction of the Bottling Supervisor and Lead.
How You Will Spend Your Time?- Gives work direction to the team members when the Lead Production Team Member is away.
- Assist the Lead Production Team Member with operating decisions.
- Steps in to perform all positions on the line as required.
- Assist in training new employees in line positions.
- Assist in overseeing the line to which the operator is assigned.
- Assist in leading the team assigned to the line to ensure a quality bottling process.
- Complete bottling summaries at the end of the shift as needed
- Collaborates with Bottling Line Lead on any deficiencies on the line
- Inspect bottles to ensure the quality of packaging as bottles proceed through the bottling line.
- Clean bottling lines throughout the day's production and post-production.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure packaging meets quality standards.
- Examine all items on bottles for component accuracy.
- Organize work area using 5S techniques which include sweeping, mopping, cleaning, cataloging and maintaining the area.
- Transfer cases weighing up to 50 pounds to keep production moving.
- Assemble knockdown cases as needed.
- Operate manual or electric pallet jacks to disperse components and finished goods throughout the work area.
- Discard outdated or defective products.
- Utilize compactors to bail cardboard.
- Perform additional requests provided by Lead Production Team Member and Supervisor to guarantee efficiency.

Required
Skills and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience, preferably in a line or assembly operator capacity
- Knowledge of and ability to do all positions on the line.
- Deep knowledge of how the line runs and ability to assist with operating decisions.
- Keen eye for product and package quality requirements.
- Willingness and ability to work within the constructs of a team.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with team members and Supervisor
