Position Details
Facility: Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Buda
Shift / Status: Full-time, 3x12’s
Schedule: Night Shift (7 pm – 7 am)
Requirements: ICU experience required; willingness to take mixed acuity assignments (Med/Surg, Tele, or IMC) is essential.
Main Nursing Unit: 15‑bed blended unit with three levels of acuity.
Patient Population: Medical Surgical, Orthopedics, Intermediate Care, Critical Care
Patient Ratios: Med Surg/Tele – 1:4/5, Progressive Care/Intermediate Care – 1:3, Intensive Care – 1:2

Job SummaryAs a Seasonal RN, you will align with our nursing model, manage and evaluate patient care, create, implement, and monitor care plans, and support patients in navigating the healthcare system safely while reducing complications.
Essential Functions of the Role- Use clinical judgment and reasoning to conduct thorough assessments following practice standards.
- Identify patient and family needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and make adjustments as needed.
- Create safe, therapeutic environments for patients, families, and staff.
- Manage emotional and physical pain to promote recovery and prevent unnecessary suffering.
- Comprehensive knowledge of nursing standards and procedures.
- Effective communication skills to articulate thoughts clearly and interact with diverse groups.
- Proficient problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills to provide quality patient care.
- Flexibility and efficient communication for timely updates on patient health conditions.
- Degree from a recognized nursing program or two years of relevant work experience.
- Minimum of one year’s experience in nursing.
- Valid Registered Nurse license.
- Ability to obtain Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
