Position Summary
Performs routine preventive maintenance, major and minor repairs, manages work orders, coordinates contractors, ensures compliance with OSHA, EPA, and Walmart standards, leads teams, develops processes, promotes ethical compliance, and maintains safety and quality in all activities.
Responsibilities- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, functionality, and aesthetics of facilities, equipment, or fixtures.
- Execute major and minor repairs using plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, and food equipment skills.
- Inspect, dismantle, diagnose, and repair equipment using hand tools, power tools, hoists, blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and document repair activities.
- Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, contractor information, expense vouchers, weekly summaries, and maintenance logs.
- Compare prices, order parts, track orders, record purchases and usage, and submit warranty claims.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, state, local regulations, and Walmart quality standards and safety requirements.
- Unload, store, and transport equipment between facilities.
- Lead and participate in teams, coordinate work assignments, provide feedback, and support timely completion and quality.
- Develop, communicate, and implement processes to meet business needs, monitor results, and drive improvement.
- Promote compliance with company policies, procedures, ethics, and integrity, providing guidance and action plans.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the plumbing trade.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Eligible for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Licensed Journeyman plumber or equivalent in the state of employment.
- Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical trade program.
- Intermediate proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- License in related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located.
Hourly wage range: $19.00 – $35.00, plus possible premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, location, season, or specific work performed.
